land & property donations
Stepping On Up is an ambitious plan to transform the housing and homeless service landscape in Duluth. Space is needed to support outdoor villages, increased shelter capacity, and innovative, low-cost permanent housing -- 300 new units overall.
A gift of land and property, either a temporary lease for outdoor villages or a donation to support long term shelter and housing, will go a long way to support our goals and move people from the streets to stability. We are looking for:
- Plots of land within the city of Duluth at least 100' by 75', relatively flat, on or close to a bus line
- Warehouse or large commercial space with existing plumbing and heat to support an indoor village of 25-40 beds
- A five or six bedroom house to support shelter for at risk youth
Building Materials
As the campaign progresses, there will be an ongoing need for donated or at-cost building material. Our current needs include fencing and decking material. WE DO NOT HAVE SPACE TO STORE BUILDING MATERIALS, please contact us to discuss a donation.
