Warming Center
The Warming Center is an emergency overnight drop in center for people experiencing homelessness. It operates for the six coldest months of the year and provided a life saving refuge for 554 people last winter.
Volunteers are needed mornings and evenings to assist with cleaning, sorting donations, food service and being a friendly and welcoming presence.
Volunteer orientations are scheduled for Sunday, October 23 1pm-2pm and Tuesday, October 25 from 6pm to 7pm. Please register in advance.
Resident Support Committee
The Resident Support Committee meets monthly. They work to create volunteer and donation opportunities to meet the needs of people coming out of homelessness, from meals to laundry services to eye masks to help get a more restful sleep when living in your car. The next meeting of the Resident Support Committee is Saturday, October 8 at St Paul's Episcopal Church (1710 E Superior St).
